A POSTING is public, to be reported as stolen property on the web site. In a tragic event such as a fire, all property and proof there-of can be lost, resulting in no payment for these items on an insurance claim.

How do I create an account / register?


Creating a user account for the website is easy. Here the steps s to create an account:

  1. Click "register" at the top right side of the web page.
  2. Enter your information in the register form on the and click "Register."
  3. Go to your email account, then open the email from the website and click the provided link to verify your email.

Email verification.


After entering your information in the registration form and clicking "Register", an email will be sent to the account specified with a link to keep out our friendly neighborhood robots. Clicking this link directs you back to the and your account is active.

What if I didn't receive the email verification?


First, please check your JUNK-MAIL, SPAM FOLDER or OTHER FILTERS. We have very little control over how your email service sorts our messages. After checking these, if you are certain that you have not received this message, please follow these instructions.

  1. Attempt to log in to the Stolen-Property website. This should result in another activation email being sent out. Click the activation link in the email to activate your account.
  2. How to log In.

How to log out.


Once you have successfully registered and logged in to your account, the "Log In" link at the top right of the page changes to "Log Out." Click this "Log Out" link and you are logged out.

How safe are my LISTINGS.


We take your security and privacy very seriously. We constantly monitor attempted website access with limited IP address administrative website access. The data base is encrypted and secured by the most secure measures possible, keeping your private information private.

Why does the website(s) log me out after an hour of inactivity?


The web site will automatically log out / end session after an hour of inactivity / leaving the website. Upon returning to the website(s), the password will again be required. This is for your security and to keep your private information and listings safe.

How do I edit account settings / preferences?


Once you've created your account, verified your email and logged in, you may wish to modify your account settings. In order to edit your account settings:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Navigate to the My Account page
  3. Click the Account Settings button on the upper right side of the page
  4. Once you have made your setting preferences, click the Save button to save changes (the form fields will now display your new account settings)

How do I create a New Listing / report stolen property?


Here are the steps to create a new listing / report stolen property:

  1. Register an account (for information on how to register, click here)
  2. Verify your email (for email verification information, click here)
  3. Click the New Listing link
  4. Choose a category
  5. Choose an item
  6. Enter the information fields (Serial or VIN required for search on The more information you enter the better, especially if you are reporting something stolen, enter where the item was last seen and if you are offering a reward
  7. To post stolen property on, click the check box next to the text "Report as stolen on" and click FINISH.

Once you click the Finish button, the web site will be redirected to the My Account page, displaying your listings and receipts.

Why does the tab read "New Listing" instead of "Report?"


Upon uploading information to the database, it is added as your private information list with the option to post to public as stolen property.

How to view your Listing(s).


Once you have created a new listing you may view the listing by:

  1. Clicking the listing title in the LISTING TABLE on the My Account page. After clicking the listing, you will view the listing as it appears when searched on the database.

How to edit a Listing.


Here are the steps to edit a listing:

  1. Navigate to the My Account page.
  2. Click the listing title that you would like to edit
  3. Enter the necessary changes in the input fields
  4. Click Save button and your changes will be updated and the web site will redirect to "view" mode of the listing.
  5. To make further changes, click the EDIT button and repeat the process.

How to post a Listing.


Posting a LISTING is very simple:

When creating a new listing:

  • Click the check box next to "Post on" while creating a LISTING.

To POST an existing listing:

  • Navigate to the My Account page and click the check box(s) in the column for "Post on"
- or -
  1. Navigate to the My Account page
  2. Select a listing by clicking the title
  3. Click the Edit button
  4. Scroll down and click the check box next to "Post as stolen on"
  5. Click the Save button

How do I remove a Posting?


Removing a POSTING is very simple:

  1. Navigate to the My Account page
  2. Un-select the check box in the column for "Post on" for the item(s) you want to un-post, this removes it from public view immediately
- or -
  1. Navigate to the My Account page
  2. Select an item by clicking the title, click the Edit button
  3. Scroll down the page and un-select the check box next to "Post on"
  4. Click the Save button, this removes it from public view immediately

How to delete a Listing.


To delete a listing:

  1. Navigate to the My Account page
  2. Select the check box next to the item(s) you want to delete
  3. Click the Delete button

How do I search for stolen property?


To search for stolen property:

  1. Enter the serial number or vehicle identification number (VIN) in the search field at the top of the page
  2. Click the Search button
  3. If the item has been reported stolen, the information will be displayed
  4. Click the item that best matches the item in question

IF YOU HAVE BEEN SOLICITED WITH STOLEN PROPERTY, REPORT IT IMEDIATELY TO YOUR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY. You may also send an anonymous message by clicking the "Submit a Tip" button.

  5. Click "Yes" when asked if you want to delete your account
  6. Click "OK" in the javascript confirm to verify you do indeed want to delete your account
